Knit one, purl one, make a cake or three ...
It has been a very busy March so far for me. I have had the urge to knit and knit I have...I have been making some gorgeous chunky moss stitch scarves just in time for Spring so good timing on my behalf ...not! I have enjoyed making them and have done four so far as they really don't take long to do. In between that I have been making birthday cakes. Firstly, I made one for my dad's birthday on the 2nd and then I made myself one on the 5th, as let's face it, no-one was likely to make me one ...sigh... and then on the 8th saw me making yet another one for my son. No more birthdays until mid-July now that require cakes so I can get on with the pleasurable task of crafting. I have had a good old sort out and tidy up this weekend, in between Prom dress shopping, but I really don't want to talk about that as it was far too stressful and I may do a separate blog about that particular joy another day!
I have tried to organise myself and even made a list of things I am going to make, oooh the thrill! I am starting off my creative week by making Easter Eggs but not the edible sort oh no, these will be made out of gorgeous fabrics with various trimmings and packaged in yellow egg boxes ready to find their way into a home near you. I am also making some Kindle covers as this has been on my to do list for ever and a day now so the time has come to crack on. Bunting, rosettes and cushions are high on the list as well so here's to a productive week.
My apologies for the lack of visual titillation today but I have yet to take a pic of said knitted delights so I will add one to my next blog

Time waits for no crafter …
So here we are at the end of February and how many times have I blogged this year? That’s right…none, nil, nada! I had promised myself that I would do so more this but due to circumstances this has not been the case. Over the last few months I have had to deal with the death of a parent and major surgery of my eldest child and now follow up surgery of said child and so dear readers I have done nothing…no blogging, no crafting, barely had time to prepare a meal in between funeral arrangements, hospital visits, visiting remaining parent in the nursing home and dealing with everyone’s grief … and I just remembered, our remaing guinea pig passed away during all this so youngest child distraught by this as well.
But enough of the doom and gloom folks … I am back and back for good. I will be blogging on a regular basis and telling you all about my crafting and bringing you some tasty recipes as well as my thoughts and opinions on life in general … so get that kettle on and get comfy …
